Why You Need Verification on BandLink

Verification on BandLink is required to gain full access to the platform’s features, including:

  • Access to analytics from Yandex Music;
  • The ability to add a donations button;
  • The right to add information about upcoming releases;
  • Access to advanced promotion tools.

Who Can Complete Verification

  • Registered users;
  • New users;
  • Artists;
  • Artist managers.

Step‑by‑Step Verification Guide

1. Logging In

  • Open the BandLink website.
  • Go to your personal account.
  • Find the «Verification» button in the bottom of the sidebar menu.

2. Entering Artist Information

  • Input the artist’s exact name as it appears in their Yandex Music profile.
  • If creating a new profile, fill in the required details.

3. Registration

  • Register via Yandex ID or log in with an existing Yandex ID.

4. Providing Personal Details

  • Enter your real full name.
  • Provide a working email address (as listed in official sources).
  • Select your role (artist/manager).

Verification Methods

  • Through an official VKontakte group;
  • Via a screen recording from the Spotify for Artists dashboard;
  • Via a screen recording from the Apple Music for Artists dashboard;
  • Via a screen recording from a distributor’s dashboard.

Additional Requirements for Submitting Screen Recordings

  • Record your screen showing the artist’s dashboard.
  • Upload the file to a cloud service (Yandex Disk, Google Drive, Dropbox).
  • Share access to the file.
  • Add the file link to the verification form.

Timeline and Results

  • Application review takes up to 7 business days.
  • You’ll receive an email notification about the application status.
  • Once approved, you’ll gain full access to all platform features.

Possible Reasons for Rejection

  • Incorrect UPC code;
  • Lack of admin rights in the VKontakte group;
  • Screen recording showing someone else’s dashboard;
  • No releases shown in the screen recording;
  • Incorrectly specified role.

Transferring Access (if a Manager Completes Verification)

  • The manager can transfer rights to the artist.
  • The artist will receive an invitation via email.
  • After the artist’s verification, the manager will receive the «Editor» status.
